This massive manufacturing machine stamps at 600 tons of pressure for a beautiful detailed stamping.

We are a manufacturer and supplier of tin ceiling tiles, cornices, moldings, friezes and copper sheets. We use a massive manufacturing press at 600 tons of pressure to stamp our products, which are used on walls, back splashes, wainscoting, and ceilings.

Patterns come in 3 inch, 6 inch, 12 inch and 24 inch repeat patterns. The styles range from Art Deco and Americana to Turn of the Century and Victorian.

Chelsea Decorative Metal Company is a family owned business now owned by Glenn “The Tinman” Eldridge. Today, he is the only person in the industry that not only manufactures the tin ceilings, but has also installed them.

Chelsea’s tin ceilings are used both residentially and commercially. Residentially they can be used in every room, adding elegance to a dining room, fun to a playroom and nostalgia to the whole house. Kitchens are the most popular rooms to be done or remodeled. The tin ceiling tiles can be used as a backsplash, a wainscoting or a wall covering. People even use the tin ceiling tiles for wall hangings, picture frames, inserts and many arts & craft projects. Commercially the tin tiles are being used in suspended ceilings, as well as, being installed the original way with hammer and nails. They are used in restaurants, office buildings, bars and night clubs, retail stores, churches and many TV shows such as “NCIS New Orleans”. Movie sets use the tin ceiling tiles for background sets. The tin ceiling tiles mostly come in 2 ft. X 4 ft. sheets, but some come in 2 ft. X 2 ft. panels. Either size makes it easily to install. For suspended ceilings 2 ft. X 2ft panels are now available to accommodate this type of ceiling.

You can do a ceiling or a backsplash with a faux (hand painted) finish or use our copper sheets. Our newest items are painted finishes. We have Plantation Charm (white and brown), Copper Patina (green and Rust), Tuscan Sunset (mustard yellow and burgundy) and Gothic Gold (black and gold). We also have a Bright Copper finish.

Here's a ceiling with the Copper Patina Finish, using tiles, molded filler, filler and cornice.

The Tinman’s tiles are ORIGINAL DESIGNS that date back to the 1800′s. The tin ceiling tiles were used as an alternative to the decorative plaster of the time. All the tin ceiling tiles are made of tin-plated steel and come in a shiny silver tin finish, which are excellent for paint retention, but take a look at our new faux (hand painted) finishes. Note: We now have the tin ceiling tiles in copper sheets. The do-it-yourselfer love the metal tiles as well.

Thank you for taking the time to look through our website to see the many tin ceiling tile designs, finishes and our gallery with pictures of the finished installation. Please do not hesitate to call for any question or concerns: 713-721-9200.
