Starting as an antique & restoration business in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1968. We acquired a brass foundry in 1975. Adding various machining operations we moved back to the US in 1976. At present, we have two main locations.
Our design and prototype offices reside in Port Townsend, WA. Here we design new and custom made products and accomplish the proto-type work necessary to perfect a product either for market or for a special customer. Our local “Lost Wax Mold Shop” creates one of a kind items while also preparing molds to be used in the production of world wide products.
To accommodate energy saving and green energy we incorporate two important developments LED and Induction light into our lighting. We are proud to say that we now co-produce and market both LED and Induction GREEN technology. We consider ourselves very skilled with LED and Induction retro-fits and design special fixtures to use this all-green technology. We design, proto-types and produce all under one roof . . . one management . . . one final goal.
We faithfully re-create architectural hardware and lighting. Our products have been specially ordered for dozens of movies, (see the list on our web site; www.vintagehardware.com) and have been specified for many state capitol & historical restoration projects including the White House, DC.
Our main showroom and design studio is located in historical Port Townsend, WA. If visiting, please note our Kelly Art Deco Light Museum. We not only build the “past” we preserve it too with the only “free” American Art Deco Lighting Museum in the world. See www.thedecomuseum.com.
