We are a small custom wood floor manufacturing company located to the north of Philadelphia on the border of Bucks and Montgomery Counties in Pennsylvania.

We use hardwoods from Pennsylvania and the surrounding states harvested using environmentally friendly practices. We follow historically true methods so our floors add a sense of tradition to any home unlike the flooring you can buy from the big box stores.

Our craftsmen are skilled woodworkers and are also musicians, artists and writers.

We've hand crafted hundreds of floors for customers from Maine to Minnesota, South to North Carolina and everywhere in between. We've even shipped our planking to Ireland.

Our Pennsylvania craftsmen take immense pride in their work and enjoy what they do.

Much of the cutting on our wide planking is done by hand using 18th century tools, just as they did in the 1700's. Our finishes are 100% hand applied and hand rubbed to achieve a look that can't be duplicated by sprayed on stains and finishes.

Our planking is unique and limited in quantity due to the time it takes to hand make each plank. So, if you are interested in one of our custom floors, plan ahead and allow plenty of lead time in your project.

We specialize in two types of wood:

Rustic White Oak Planks

  • Lengths up to 13 feet, average about 9 feet
  • Hand-crafted and hand finished
  • Hand-cut squared and softened edges and ends
  • Selective distressing
  • Tongue and groove joint
  • Suitable for our blackened and weathered finishes

Red Oak Flooring

  • Lengths up to 13 feet, average about 9 feet
  • These planks will be almost free of knots, saw kerfs, and sap lines
  • Hand-crafted and hand-finished
  • Hand-cut, live edged or squared and softened edges and ends
  • Selective distressing
  • Tongue and groove joints

Notes:

  • Planks are ¾ inch thick red oak and are kiln dried to 8% or less.
  • Actual widths can vary about a ¼ inch depending on stock availability. The difference is not noticeable, and the production quantity is adjusted to ensure you receive the total square footage purchased.
  • All top edges are hand-cut using spoke shaves, draw knives, files, and rasps just as they did 250 years ago. We can selectively distress the planks depending on customer preferences.
  • Squared and softened edges are available instead of the hand-cut edging on 6-inch planks whether you choose to top nail or not.
