Maurice “Mo” Dallas has been involved in the American Folk Art revival (circa 1976) for over forty years. For the last twenty years Mo and Kelly Dallas of GoodBook Folk Art have been creating handcrafted original Noah’s Arks (featuring a menagerie of hand carved animals), angels, clocks and mixed media assemblage sculptures. Their creations embrace and infuse the line between historical tradition and profound American Folk Art whimsy. Many of these pieces feature narrative or metaphysical elements. Through the years these original works are appreciated by serious collectors, galleries and museums.
