Olde Mohawk has provided historic preservation consulting and contracting services for over one hundred structures throughout New York and the New England states including several dozen on the National Register of Historic Places. We believe that a multi-disciplinary approach to the planning of all aspects of historic preservation projects is necessary to preserve the heritage of our built environment. As active participants in the preservation community we are appreciative of the limited resources available for the preservation and maintenance of the cultural heritage embodied in historic structures. We endeavor to provide historically appropriate, sensitive, creative, and responsible solutions to the stewards of these treasures.

Mission Statement

It is the goal of Olde Mohawk Historic Preservation, its owner, employees and consultants, to provide prompt, competent, ethical, thorough, and appropriate services to its clients. Anything less than attainment of this goal is unacceptable. All practices and methodologies employed are in strict compliance with guidelines set forth by the Secretary of the Interior. On a municipal level, many communities maintain a level of vigilance specific to buildings in historic neighborhoods. Working with historic homeowners and the stewards of landmark structures within these communities, Olde Mohawk Historic Preservation is committed to preserving the fabric that defines the heritage of the region’s built environment.
