The Carreaux du Nord studio has been making fine handmade Art Tiles in the Arts & Crafts tradition since 1995 for tile installations and the tile enthusiast.
In-house designs embrace both the English and American Arts & Crafts movement, Art Nouveau, and Misson styles; specializing in handmade tile for use in fireplace surrounds, hearths, kitchen back splashes, and the bath. The full line of tile borders, decos,and field tiles have been designed to complement the Art Tile collection. The studio also makes a limited number of finely handcrafted Arts & Crafts Mantle clocks every year.
Carreaux du Nord evolved out of a love for fine craftsmanship and beautiful design. Husband and wife, Ned Guyette and Beth Vienot, formed the small working studio and have been making handmade tiles since 1995.
Carreaux du Nord specializes in Arts & Crafts style tile in method and design. Unless indicated, all designs are original and exclusive to Carreaux du Nord. These handmade art tiles are sought after by collectors and make charming accents, distincive gifts and are beautiful for architectural use.
