Phil Huber, of Woodsmith magazine, demonstrates how to use common woodworking tools to create a Shaker bench from materials you can find at any home center. Most of the work on the bench is done on the two legs. Phil shows us how to shape curved cutouts using a jigsaw, rasps, and files. Then he attaches the top, does some final sanding, and applies a finish.
