Crown City started as a basic hardware store in 1916 and has grown into one of the largest reproduction hardware manufacturers. The company carries every type of old-house hardware imaginable in its Pasadena showroom, from jewel-like cut glass knobs to cast iron hinges for screen doors. Their service department also can repair or re-create original hardware.

George’s has been keeping Pasadena bathrooms supplied with period-friendly fixtures since 1946; their showroom now includes kitchen sinks and faucets in a range of styles, too.

This 14,000-square-foot warehouse carries a wide variety of salvaged house parts, from doors and windows to hardware and lighting. Not surprisingly given the location, many of the items in the store’s inventory have an Arts & Crafts bent, from built-in buffets to Prairie-style leaded glass windows.

If you can’t find what you’re looking for at Pasadena Architectural Salvage, head next door to Architectural Details. With more than 40 years of restoration experience under his belt, owner Skip Willett is an excellent resource. His specialty is antique hardware and plumbing, but you’ll also find building materials like casement windows and clay roofing tile here. (The store is only open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., so plan accordingly.)

Need a unique, eye-catching light fixture to serve as a focal point in a room? This is the place to go. In addition to pottery, furniture, and architectural pieces, Revival Antiques is known for its selection of one-of-a-kind antique light fixtures, most of which date to the 1920s and ‘30s. Be prepared to splurge—the more elaborate fixtures can run into four figures.

The venerable supplier of reproduction hardware and lighting opened its third storefront in Los Angeles in 2011. Located in the historic Helms Bakery District in Culver City, the store carries all of Rejuvenation’s popular reproduction products, as well as antique hardware, lighting, and architectural salvage.

Period-friendly resilient flooring can be hard to come by at modern showrooms, but not at Linoleum City, which has been in business since 1948. In addition to linoleum, they also carry a wide selection of cork and rubber flooring in their 15,000-square-foot space.
Liz’s Antique Hardware

Boasting more than a million pieces of antique hardware from 1860 to 1970, Liz’s is the place to go if you’re looking for a matching set of distinctive vintage knobs. Their store on L.A.’s Miracle Mile also carries lighting and bathroom accessories, along with their own proprietary line of contemporary hardware.
